So good to be back! Belated thank you to Uffculme School for a brilliant (day before) World Book Day visit . . . my first in several (pandemic) years. Excellent Year 7&8 readathon students had sharp, smart, creative ideas about The Rain, and our overall theme was ‘HOPE’ – if Ruby can deal with killer rain from outer space, how can we deal with tough stuff in our lives? (Answer would include not doing it alone; reach out and find kind people to support and help you!) I did this last night, and I’ll be doing it again tonight - and every night: switch off for ten mins at 8pm. Only turn off your mains if it’s safe to do so - otherwise just switch off whatever you can. I heard this worked in Spain; people switched off and electricity prices there now frozen at 2019 levels?
